Ardrox
Cefadroxyl tablets &dry syrup
( long acting oral cephalosporin)
Description like all betalactum antibiotics it acts by selectively inhibiting the synthesis of mucopeptides in the bacterial cell wall of multiplying bacteria.
It is pharmaco kinetically superior anti-bacterial oral cephalosporin with convenient bid dosage, higher absorption and better penetration.
Composition tab. Ardrox-kid:
Each uncoated dispersible tablet
Contains:
Cefadroxil I. p.
Equivalent to cefadroxil anhydrous 125mg
Tab. Ardrox:
Each uncoated tablet
Contains:
Cefadroxil I. p.
Equivalent to cefadroxil anhydrous 250mg
Tab. Ardrox-500:
Each uncoated tablet
Contains:
Cefadroxil I. p.
Equivalent to cefadroxil anhydrous 500mg
Ardrox dry syrup:
Each 5ml of prepared suspension
Contains:
Cefadroxil I. p.
Equivalent to cefadroxil anhydrous 125mg
Color: ponceau 4r.
Indications urinary tract infections caused by e. Coli, p. Mirabillis and klebsiella spp. Skin and skin structure infections caused by staphylococci and / or streptococci: pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by group a beta-hemolytic streptococci.
Dosage 1-2gm daily in two divided doses (500mg to 1gm every 12 hours)
Children: 25-50mg / kg body wt in divided doses every 12 hours
